The brave new world of DIY faecal transplant

Not for the faint-hearted this article, but here is a fab piece on faecal transplants – that’s transplanting poo from one person to another to you and me.

Why the heck would anyone want to do that?! Well, if you have recurrent C Diff infection, or indeed some other chronic GI issues, it’s becoming a much sought-after treatment. Problem is: no-one does it, hence the DIY in this article.

Fascinating.

  1. Hi Micki, I think there is a clinic which offers this treatment at quite great expense called the Taymount Clinic in Hitchin. I am intrigued and at the same time repelled by this treatment http://whatallergy.com/2014-05/five-potential-new-allergy-and-eczema-cures but then diy aspect horrifies me.

  2. Thanks Ruth, know what you mean!
